I’ve always enjoyed the act of typing. I even had a class for it in high school, way back when. knew the greatest benefit from my time in high school would be having learned how to type (on a typewriter!). Four decades later I’m typing on a very nifty, wireless, mini keyboard - with multiple (7!) colored key lights to choose from! It has reinvigorated my enjoyment of typing - on a phone, no less.As soon as I picked the keyboard box from the Amazon box, I knew it was going to be a good product (at least I felt it was). The weight to its size was unusual. It is heavier than you’d expect for its size. I like that. It says to me, they put some thought and care into designing this item. I very much appreciate simple, functional, elegant design. This little keyboard I believe, has it, along with a little bit of panache. Those colored LEDs behind the keys provide function and fun.The functional aspect is obvious and effortless. How it should be, right. It was a matter of seconds out of the box, that I had it connected to my phone and typing. Slide the power switch to on, tap the green (only one colored) connect button, (in my case) go to your Bluetooth settings and accept the keyboard. Although, I don’t know if it’s my phone (an ancient iPhone 6s), or the keyboard, but I always have to go to settings on my phone and actually select the keyboard for it to find it, even though I just had it connected earlier in the day. I’m only a slight tech wiz, not a full-on nerd tech wiz.I don’t have multiple devices to connect to this keyboard, but I like the feature this one has, with onboard display showing one of three devices connected and you can switch between them. Also, of course, you can switch off the key lights, change their colors and brightness, when you haven’t touched the keys for a 2 minute period, the lights go off, saving battery. What’s cool is they come back on as soon as you touch a key. The keyboard will go to sleep in 30 minutes of non use. Your light settings are remembered after you turn the keyboard off.The weight of the keyboard, as I mentioned earlier, is on the heavy side, especially for a board this small, but don’t let that discourage you from consideration. Unique for this keyboard is the little (and I do say little), slot at the top of the board for accepting your phone or tablet. It is likely the reason also for requiring a counter balance, making the board heavy enough to support a tablet that’s tipping away from you. Unfortunately, it’s too narrow to fit anything but a naked or mostly naked phone or tablet. It is another nifty idea, though my iPhone in its Otterbox case is a no go and I refuse to strip it each time I want to type.Part of this keyboards elegance comes from its packaging, not just its sleek design and color scheme. The box is very simple and hugs the keyboard tight, without unnecessary packaging inside. In fact, in the absence of being able to set my phone in the built-in slot, I keep the keyboard in the box (wrapper too!), and incline my phone on its cover, all while sitting on my lap. Then, when I’m done, turn it off, close the cover and travel-on. That’s a bonus ‘feature’ they don’t talk about, I’m sure.Elsewhere, people had mentioned there’s no indication of battery charge level - there isn’t. I couldn’t find one either. Like my/your wireless mouse, it just dies, then you know you need to charge it (it comes with a 3ft cable). If you’re not using the key lights on bright all the time, it’s likely going to last almost as long as your mouse battery, so why do you need to know it’s level. You can also charge it whenever you want. Charging time is listed as being 2 hours. Capacity is 1000mAh. Working hours: (without backlight) is 667 hours. Working time with the brightest backlight: 5 hours. Standby time: 2100 hours. So, if you didn’t figure it out by now, I’m totally sold on this keyboard from Seenda. They did a real fine job with it, despite the small (unusable to me) slot. I’d highly recommend it if you don’t already have one. I didn’t even know I needed one until I saw it listed!
